Sixteen Means She Can now DATE!!
Brooke turned 16 on November 30th.
This means that she can go on her first date.
Dylan was the one to take her out. They
went bowling and then had dinner.

Brooke really wanted a costume this year. We bought this one for her. It turned out that she only wore it for this picture. She was at her last soccer game 5 hours away in Elko the night of our ward party and then she didn't wear it at all on Halloween. Maybe next year she will.
Preston went as the whole package. He only wore it the night of our church party.
This was my costume this year- a bubble bath- Brecken actually wore it on Halloween. You'll see his photo down under the costume contest section.

The Halloween Costume Contest
We went to Legends for the costume contest. Hello Kitty was there greeting kids because their soon will be a Hello Kitty store opening up there. Good thing she wasn't entering the contest!
This year we went out to the Legends Mall for the Halloween Costume Contest. Brecken wore the costume that I wore for my preschool parties. We call him: Rub a Dub-Dub a boy in the Tub. Kylah of course is her gumball machine. It was fun to see and hear people comment on their costumes.
For Brecken's 2nd place prize, he received a $20.00 gift card to any of the stores in the Legends Mall. Pretty Sweet!
Kylah was happy with this ball that was inside a nice Legends Shopping bag. It was a fun way to do Halloween this year!
Frist Place Costume!!!!
I had found a picture of this costume last year when Family Fun did a search for cool costumes. When I saw this, I knew I'd be making it for Kylah to be this year. I'm not one who can sew, but Philip helped me figure out how to make the "dress" part. The head piece is two large plastic bunch bowls mounted together. It wasn't the cheapest costume since those alone were $8.00 each. But since not all of my kids are wearing costumes anymore, I guess that's how I can justify it. Plus I think next year I will wear the head piece and be that since I dress up for preschool. Anyway, at her school Harvest Festival, she won first place for the costume contest. She was overjoyed. It really did pay off because everyone seemed to like it. We think she makes a cute gum-ball machine. Happy Halloween!
This is the certificate that Kylah received for winning first place. It is for $20.00 to spend at Applebees. We thought that was pretty nice to get. Maybe Philip and I will be taking her out to eat.

A new style for Kylah
After Kylah's baptism, Grammy cut her hair . Today I found myself a little adventurous and tried to do something fancy. Kylah loved it sooo much. I think it turned out pretty cute. It stayed perfect that whole first day, that she slept in it and wore it again the next day. Not bad for someone who cant' french braid.
